| Unit was founded in 2008 as an independent committee of the Big Walnut Area Historical Society with headquarters in the Myers Inn in Sunbury, Ohio, for the purpose of promoting the history of the Civil War and in particular that history which refers to General William Starke Rosecrans, a native of Sunbury, Ohio. | ||||
