All events in the Big Tent are part of the Living History Pageants - Admission is Free
11:30 a.m.

General William Starke Rosecrans and his officers will meet in headquarters to work on their plan for the Battle of Stones River which will be fought on Sunday at Freedom Park north of Sunbury on State Route 61.

1 p.m. Mary Bickerdyke was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio and lived in Cairo, Illinois when the Civil War broke out.  Her concern for the soldiers resulted in her working with the Sanitary Commission to help insure the donated items got to the soldiers.  She became known as Mother Bickerdyke. 
2 p.m. Johnny Lincoln Clem was born in Licking County, Ohio and ran away from home to join the army at the age of  10. He was rejected due to age and size but followed the soldiers until they adopted him as the drummer boy and mascot.  Payton Seats presents the story of the Civil War's youngest officer.
4:30 p.m. Sgt. Steve Ball, Rosecrans Headquarters Musicianwill play his 1861 Martin guitar while he tells of the importance of the musician to the soldiers in the Civil War
7 p.m. Blue and Gray Balls are a tradition in reenactments.  After a day of Living History Pageants, battles and public appearances, this is a time when the soldiers and their ladies can don their fancy clothes and relax.  The public is invited to attend and join in the dancing.  Mistress Elizabeth Reeb will call the line dances so every one can enjoy the experience.
