Minutes of Meeting Held
Thursday, December 8, 2011

Attending:  Rick Helwig – Chairman, Tom Paul – Vice-Chairman, Bill Comisford -Secretary, Henry Shaw, Treasurer. Various members of the HQs and several guests.

Christmas Meeting.
Kate Cook gave a presentation on the hymns and carols of Christmas during the Civil War.

Chairman’s Report:  No report.

Vice-Chairman’s Report:  Tom reported on the status of the Memorial Project.

Secretary’s Report:  Minutes are on the website for review.  Secretary’s report was approved and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report:  Henry Shaw gave a report on the status: HQ and Memorial funds. 

Ladies Aid Society:  No report.

Activities:  The following activities were discussed:

Up-coming campaign activities:

·         Dinner Theater presentation coming up on Saturday, December 10^th.

 Unit Impressions:  Nothing.

 Demos and Public Presentations:  The following is the schedule of upcoming Living History Presentations:

   ·         January                        Re-enactment recap

·         February                      Hannah Griffith, Florina Budwin

·         March                          Steve Cook, Journalism during the Civil War

·         May                             Peyton Seats, Telegraph during the Civil War

New Business:

Group discussed setting up and internal audit committee to review the finances of the group.  Chairman: Dana; Members: Monte and Tom.  Committee to get together soon.

Next meeting was set for Thursday, January 26, 2012.  Bring a friend!
