Ladies' Aid Meets in Myers Inn |
||||
| While one lady
tears bandages, another sews a sleeping cap, the third rolls
bandages in preparation for shipment to the front. Items collected for the soldiers are fresh vegetables and lemons, hardtack, canned pickled eggs, a pieced lap robe, one fingered mittens, lint, and a sock for a soldier who lost his leg. Another quilt in need of repair is waiting for a seamstress to renovate it for use on the front. |
